ROBOT New product: New lightweight Teach Pendant

FANUC launched new lightweight Teach Pendant. This development represents the first revamp of the device in 17 years. The new Teach Pendant is the lightest in its class, combining ease of use and a modern ergonomic design.

Modern, ergonomic design

  • Lightweight
    The teach pendant is the lightest in its class 750g, equating to a 40% weight reduction compared to previous models.
  • Compact
    The overall size and volume of the device is reduced by 45% compared to conventional models. The sleek new shape is designed to fit comfortably in an operator’s hand, reducing strain when used for long periods of time.
  • Large screen
    While the overall size has been reduced, the large screen size and resolution remains the same as previous models (6.4inch, XGA, 1024x768 pixel), providing an easy-to-read user interface.

Ease of use

  • Improved operation
    The flat screen allows full screen touch panel operation. A new keyboard design, the buttons improve user experience to make programming more efficient.
  • High performance, high sensitivity touch panel
    FANUC’s highly reliable touch panel technology provides smartphone-like operation. The touch panel offers noise resistance and also significantly reduces the risks of malfunctions from cutting fluids, water, and poor electrical noise environments.
  • Can be operated even with gloves
    The touch panel is responsive and operates efficiently and easily even while wearing protective gloves which are often required at work sites.

Speed improvement

  • Response time
    Faster 4D screen display transition speed, response time and ease of touch operations make operating efficient.
  • Smartphone-like operability
    All new ease of use and intuitive operation with touch sensitivity similar to that of a tablet or smartphone (operation possible with just a touch, no pressure required), provides advance features for users. Simple and fast screen operation, smooth screen zooming with a two-point touch for pinching in and out are possible.
  • Faster Startup Time
    The Robot controller startup time has been reduced by 34% compared to previous models.

The FANUC new lightweight Teach Pendant uses the latest technology to improve the user experience and makes programming faster and easier for operators.
