FANUC America Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “FANUC America”), a subsidiary of FANUC CORPORATION, has completed the construction of its West Campus in Auburn Hills, Michigan, as a new base in the United States. To commemorate this memorable achievement, an opening ceremony was held on July 10 (Wed). The West Campus is FANUC America’s latest facility in the United States, and follows the establishment of FANUC America Headquarters, the Chicago Office, and the North Campus. This expansion is part of the company’s strategic investment plan to support and advance industrial automation in North America.

FANUC America set up its headquarters in Rochester Hills, Michigan, in 1986. Ever since, it has focused on providing technical support, sales and service of CNCs and robots in North and South America. In 2019, the North Campus was completed in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and later in 2023, new buildings were constructed in Mexico and Canada.

The West Campus represents a $110 million investment built on approximately 270,000 square meters of land. The Campus offers customized automation systems and includes warehouse space for over 6,000 robots and spare parts for quick delivery.
With this, FANUC America has expanded its footprint in Michigan to a total of approximately 190,000 square meters and has created over 400 jobs since 2019.

Michael J. Cicco, President and CEO of FANUC America, commented at the opening ceremony that “these major expansions represent our growth strategy in North America and our steadfast commitment to automation and robotization. While manufacturers of each industry continue to adapt to changing market demands, FANUC America is able to support customers more closely by providing factory automation and cutting-edge robotic solutions. As a result, we help to drive more efficiency across all industries, and at the same time, FANUC America itself continues to grow”.

Since 2019, FANUC America has accelerated investments in North America, as can be seen in the construction of the North Campus, new buildings in Mexico and Canada, and the FANUC Academy which will be established in the near future, bringing the total to $250 million. Through such expansions, FANUC America continues to strengthen its position as a forerunner in North America.
